Mems of Memorial

It is the beginning of the week and I guess what they say is true, 

all good things must come to an end. 

Surprise surprise, we went down south to hang with our families for the three day weekend.

We can never get enough.

Saturday Morning we packed all our things and drove down to meet up with J's fam to celebrate Karly & Stan's (FIL) birthdays. The rest of the weekend consisted of the usual - food, fun, family, and the beach (which should be a given by now ;)

Side note: my in laws just got back from Hawaii, hence the Hawaiian coordinated shirts.

 & apparently our imaginary babe. haha.

It was another great weekend.

SNL Californians

Anyways, watch it. SO funny...for a couple reasons:

1) Jason and I can watch it over and over, and we have.

2) This is our new favorite way to talk.

and 3) This is the story of our lives. These exact streets are the ones we are always using to try and find short cuts to and fro our destinations.

It's a headache, but I'm glad SNL can make light of it.

Easter

Easter weekend was so fun. We went down to Laguna Thursday night with no plans, other than going to the beach all. day. long.

We did some hiking and went on beautiful walks in the mornings and spent the rest of the days on the sand.

My mom's bday was on friday so we got together with my fam for the night for some dinner & bowling.

Loved spending time with the people we love most and celebrating such a meaningful holiday with our family. 

Do you love that jason brings his laptop to the beach? The man never stops.

Weekend Recap

I love conference weekend.

It's been 3 months since we had been home to orange county so we planned on taking the short trip down to watch conference with my family. (plus our loads of laundry were piling up way too high;) )

Here is just a glimpse of what we did:

Babies, Swedish pancakes, hikes, conference listening, movies, gspoon, baja fish tacos, swinging competition, and more. Not pictured: Mom, Dad, Jon, & Danezee.

I am one lucky aunt..are these kids not the cutest? I'm kinda obsessed..

So grateful to have both our families so close to us and we are already getting antsy to get down there this next weekend to hang out with jason's fam for Easter. 

J has friday off so we are heading down thursday night.

Woohoo for a 3 day weekend!!

Sidenote: This is my final week of the semester and then I have a one week break until Spring semester starts. Can't wait for this semester to be done. It has been a busy one and accounting has taken over my life, but (if I pass my final) then this will be the LAST math class everrrrr. yessssss.

A little Weekend Getaway

We were way overdue for a little vacation and decided a weekend trip to the mountains would be nice, relaxing, far enough away, and not too $$. So, Saturday morning we woke up and were on our way.

Growing up, we both would go to these same mountains to ski/snowboard.

Both having not been there for years, when we were up there it brought back all the memories.

Unfortunately, the snow on the slopes weren't the best conditions and definitely not worth the price of a day pass, so instead, we went sledding! It was SO fun and I don't know how you cannot laugh the entire time. We felt like we were 10 years old; going down over and over, different ways, and not to mention, running into little kids left and right. ha - oops!

We stayed at the cutest place in Lake Arrowhead tucked away in the trees. 

Sauna, jacuzzi, fitness center included which we took full advantage of all 3.

Sunday, we woke up and went on a gorgeous hike along a creek to a Heart shaped basin..it supposedly the "most romantic hike on the mountain," and romantic, it was;)

Two Things..

First:

I have recently discovered a new hobby...

 A little thing called sewing. 

I just got home from a 2 hour class and I wish it were longer. It was so fun and so much easier than I thought. I now have so many projects in mind and can't wait to get started. 

I've been itching to have a creative project to do for months now, and now I can have just the idea of what I can do:)

Second:

Hummus Veggie Pizza.

Yumsauce.

I am obsessed. In love. Blown away by the flavor and delicousness.

I have a feeling this is going to happen in our home every week for the next little while.
It's that good.
Go ahead and make it.

Birthday Goodness

Birthday No. 23 was a good one. It consisted of love notes, breakfast in bed, presents in the mail, spa day, lunch with girlfriends, ice cream cake, beach day, and celebrating with family.

Obviously not all in one day - it was a 3 day birthday full of non-stop goodness.

Thank you all who made my birthday so memorable.

Every time I tell someone I am 23, I always get a "23 was such a good year" reply.

So, I'm hopeful that this year is going to be a good one:)
