I've got a half marathon this weekend & I've been looking for something to give me that extra boost... & I think found the best remedy.
If you're into refreshing healthy deliciousness then you have to try this.
The Green Monster

Ingredients:
2 Cups Raw Baby Spinach
1 Tbsp Ground Flax Seed
1 Cup Almond Milk (I prefer Unsweetened Vanilla)
1 Banana
Ice

Directions:
Combine all ingredients into blender in the following order:  flax seeds, spinach, banana, milk, and ice.  Blend well.  Drink up!

Energy
Vegetable and Fruit servings combined into one drink to start your day off right
Omega 3 Fatty Acids
Vitamins A, B, and C, E, & K
Fiber

  2. Evan and I are doing a 3 day Raw Foods Diet and then a 3 day Juice fast. I saw this post a few days ago and we tried it tonight but instead of a banana (Evan hates bananas) we used strawberries- it was very good! Though a big sandwich or pasta or something sounds soooo good right about now.
