Engagements Round 2?

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

So I'm completely procrastinating right now and finding everything else to do with my time rather than take my finals. Therefore, I'm going to upload some pictures from our photo shoot with my sister Kate from a week ago. I am obsessed with these, she did an amazing job! Thanks again sis!
I kind of just wanted some updated pictures of just jason and I. We haven't taken any since our wedding and hey, why not? We don't plan on sending any out for Christmas cards or anything. These are solely for ourselves:)
We went down to Manhattan Beach pier and the sky was beautiful. It had just stopped raining.
Perfect timing.

My personal fav^^

Lots of lovin going on. Just the way I like it. :)

Thankful

Monday, November 26, 2012

Since Thankgiving just happened, I just want to give a shout out to what I am thankful for most and that is my sweet husband.
(things are about to get real cheesy)
I really can't believe I married such an amazing man. He makes me laugh every single day and does whatever he can to make me happy. I am so impressed with his work ethic and how hard he works to support us. I don't know how he does the 80-100 hour weeks every week, but somehow he does and somehow he is still his happy positive self. (luckily this craziness will finally be ending soon - woohoo!) He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and is my ultimate best friend. He supports me in everything I do and to be honest, I would not be able to finish my degree without his help. He is so patient with me and is constantly setting an example for me every day. I am grateful to have married a man who see's past my flaws and loves me for who I am. I cannot imagine my life with anyone else.
So for that, I am grateful.
When I count my blessings, I count him twice.

To my Grandpa

Monday, November 12, 2012

I just had to post these two pictures of my Grandpa who served in the Airforce in the Vietnam war.
I am so grateful for him and for his bravery and courage.
In 4th grade we had to do a report on one of our heroes and I chose my Grandpa.
I loved learning all about his life and about the amazing and humble man that he was and still is.
Love you Grandpa. Thanks for fighting for our country.
You are a true American hero.

Happy Veteran's Day!

LACMA

Monday, November 12, 2012

This past weekend we finally made our way to the LACMA.
(Los Angeles County Muesum of Art)
I have wanted to go there since we moved here over 2 years ago, but for some reason it never happend.
We finally had an open weekend and that was the only thing I wanted to do.
Jason was a good sport and came with me...he likes museums, but he doesn't love them like I do.
Not to mention our taste in art is somewhat different.
But we still had fun, regardless and I absolutely loved it.
And we didn't even get through half of it, which means we have to go back..and soon.

Big Sur

Thursday, November 8, 2012

This past weekend we made our way up to Big Sur to camp with some friends.
It's about a 6 hour drive so we left at 5am and go there around 11am.
The weather up there was perfection & the company wasn't too bad either:)

I have a friend who is from Carmel so before we left I asked her all the spots that we need to hit up while we were up there. Her number one recommendation was Mission Ranch Inn, which is Clint Eastwood's restaurant.
When we pulled up we were blown away by how beautiful it was. We were sitting on a balcony over looking a green pasteur with sheep grazing and the ocean. I felt like we were in Ireland or something.
Absolutely breaktaking. Highly recommend stopping there if you are ever in the area.
I love how Carmel is kind of a hidden gem. Hope it stays that way for a little while longer.

Thanks for the good times Big Sur, we will be back soon!

Halloween!

Thursday, November 1, 2012

This holiday is one of my favorites. I love seeing eveyone get all dressed up.
Some people are so creative, I love it!
This year we went down to El Segundo to hang out with my sister & her cute family for the night.
They shut down main street and have a fun halloween carnival.
I seriously loved the people watching...some of the best people watching is on halloween, in my opinion. I also love when the whole family gets into it. Especially the parents.
I can't wait to have kids, I have so many ideas!
Jason met up with us while we were trick or treating and we got into character.
(Mime's look a lot better when they come in 2's)

Jason seriously looks freaky. I did the paint on his face to look kind of similar to the Joker in Batman and he nailed it with that smirk. Creeps me out!
Kate's kids were also a little freaked out by us too. haha.
We actually really tried not talking or smiling to give out the full mime effect, but that didn't happen.

After all the trick or treating and carnival fun, we came back to the house and Kate made the best pumpkin soup, from scratch! Cookies, pasta, and rolls included.
This is why she is nick-named Becky Home-ecky (sp?) amongst us sisters.
Mine and Jill's nicknames will have to be saved for another day.
Thanks for having us sis!

Hope you all had a spooky night and got some yummy treats!
{My breakfast this morning was Reese's. Success.}
