Two Things

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

I highly recommend you to do the following 2 things sometime this week.
  • Make Pumpkin cookies.
  • Give yourself a hair moisturizing treatment.
Here's why: Both are easy peasy and both will make you happy. It's that simple:)

{sorry for the poor quality, this was taken with my iphone}
I am super busy this semester with classes and my internship so to keep sane, I take breaks and do something else.
Exhibit A: Coconut Oil hair treatment.
What you'll need: Coconut oil {can be found at your local grocery or drug store..or even amazon, but I would just go to the store. A lot easier.}
Here's how: Flip your dry hair over and soak with oil. It's okay if your coconut oil isn't liquid yet, no need to melt it. It will melt in your hair. Soak it up and put it up with a clip or hair tie and leave in for 30 minutes.
Wash it out as you would normally wash your hair. I shampooed twice to make sure I got all the oil out, because I have a lot of hair. That is up to you.
And voila! You have silky soft hair.
I'm serious. Try it out.
This is going to be my new weekly ritual.

Exhibit B: Pumpkin cookies.
Jason asks for these cookies year round but I refuse to make them until fall time. But today he got his wish. It is technically still summer, but I needed another break from my work and baked some. Plus, I am having the missionaries over tonight for dinner and needed something for dessert.
Another SUPER easy recipe.
What you'll need: 1 box of spice cake mix
1 8oz can of pumpkin
Chocolate chips
Here's how: Mix all ingredients together and bake for 12 minutes @ 350 deg.

Easy, right? If you want to get real fancy you can make the cookies while waiting for you hair to soak.
Just sayin;)
