BABYMOONING in Hawaii

Friday, August 9, 2013

The truth is, we have been trying to go to Hawaii since the day we got married. We had been talking about doing one last trip before the babe comes and figured that Hawaii was our best bet. Not only do we both LOVE being on that beautiful island, but what makes it even better is that my bestest best friend lives there with her husband and baby boy. What would be better than babymooning and spending time with my best girl in hawaii? Nothing. So we bit the bullet and bought those (stomach wrenching) pricey plane tickets and had the best time. To be honest, we both agreed that this trip might have been our favorite trip so far. It was just so fun to be in a familiar place where we knew people, had close family and friends there, and it wasn't foreign or hard to get around. It was just perfect.

Jason was in heaven surfing those warm waters every single day.

Took this exact picture in Bali...except I wasn't 7 mos pregnant.
Still struggle with our underwater kissing pictures.

 Waimea
 High-fiving for friendship and motherhood.

 Maunawili Falls hike

With our little Sylver. He is the yummiest thing you've ever seen and we may or may not be planning his and our baby girl's wedding. It's inevitable.

 Shrimp truck stop.
Diamond head hike

Treated our hosts to a night out for being so amazing to us. They really are the best and we can't thank you guys enough!
 Lanikai Beach

What a trip!
We are just trying to figure out how we can live there and make it work. It is so awesome and it was pure happiness every day.
I highly recommend doing a little trip if you can before your baby comes. It was honestly the best and although the flights were pricey, it is something that we will always remember and grateful that we did:)

Playing catch up: JULY

Friday, August 9, 2013

July was the month of FUN. We were on the go non-stop and had so many things planned.
Although it was the best ever, we are a little excited to finally have some downtime (especially me).
I really haven't had a day to just relax and catch up on things that I need to do, but it's been well worth it.
We went to my favorite place on the planet: LAKE POWELL
I grew up going here every summer with my family and there really is nothing better than being out there with no cell service and washing your hair in the water. That is my childhood and being there brings back all those memories. Jason and I finally got the chance to go there together this summer with his family and it was a blast, of course! It's always is fun at LP.

Are you sick of seeing pictures of me in this bathing suit and hat yet? Can't help it.
The night we got home from Lake Powell we went straight to a concert at the MV Lake with my family. Donavon Frankenreiter - for free! Can't beat that.
And then the day finally came where we made our way up to good old Rexburg, Idaho so I could GRADUATEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely a highlight of this summer...and year. Ok fine, a highlight of my life! So glad we went up there to do that. I loved being back on that campus and seeing all the changes. SO MUCH has changed. Miss that place sometimes...so grateful I was able to go to school there. Can't believe it has been 4 years since I've been back. Also so grateful for my supporters! Thanks for coming and being there for me:)
(2 years on campus, I took 2 years off, and then finished 2 years online)
Big thanks to these two people. They helped me so much and motivated me to keep going.

BIGGEST thanks goes out to my main man. I mean, lets be honest, I really truly could not have finished some of those classes with out his help. He was so patient with me and helped me every step of the way. Husband of the century!
Was a bridesmaid at one of my dearest and sweetest friends wedding.

The days in between were spent at the beach all. day. long.
It was a fun and very eventful month. I need a nap just thinking about it.
One for the books!

Playing catch up: JUNE

Friday, August 9, 2013

oops. I've neglected this blog for too long and now that I finally have a day to relax so I decided
it was time to update this thing. Since my last post, too much has happened for 1 post so in a nutshell, this is what happened in June:
Soaked up our last days in LA
I went on a girls trip to Palm Springs with my mom & sisters
Miss my LA family already! They threw me a darling shower 2 weeks before we left.

6 months prego shots..I'm almost positive jason is sick of taking these of me..but he's gotta suck it up - only 2 more months!
off to his last day of work! he (we) couldn't be more stoked.

Spent our last night in LA with friends at a Dodgers game
& made a stop at the Pie Hole in downtown to try their beloved pie dishes.
Then packed up on the hottest weekend EVER and moved our buns down to Orange County. Can't believe it's already been 5 weeks since we moved down here. So fast! It's been so fun to be down here and get to hang out with Jason all day every day. We both realize this is a rare opportunity so we are living it up to the fullest. Who knows when we'll be able to have this much time together - especially once baby girl comes!

Job update for those interested: my man is still unemployed and we are not complaining. He is looking though, and looking hard. It's tough out there, but we both know something will happen and neither of us are worried. Just living it up til then!
